How much does grooming cost?
Starting prices are listed on our site for basic services (Bath & Brush starting at $35, Bath & Tidy starting at $65, and Full Groom starting at $80). However, final pricing depends on your dog's size, breed, and coat condition. Please contact the salon directly for an accurate estimate for your pet.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 business hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Because grooming slots take 2–3 hours, late cancellations leave open spots that could have been filled by other clients:
-
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be subject to a 50% charge of the booked groom.
-
No-shows will be charged 100% of the service cost, which must be paid prior to booking your next appointment.
Can I bring my dog in for a haircut without a bath?
No. We do not offer haircut-only services without a bath. To protect our tools and guarantee a high-quality finish, we must work on a freshly washed coat cleaned to our salon standards (bathing at home prior to the appointment is not accepted).
Pet Safety, Health & Dematting
How do you handle matted coats?
Minimal matting is handled at no extra charge. If matting requires more than 15 minutes of dedicated dematting care, an additional fee of $15 per 15 minutes will apply. If dematting causes your pet distress, our groomers will stop and consult with you before proceeding with shaving or clipping.
What are your vaccination requirements?
-
For the safety of all pets and our grooming staff, all pets must have proof of up-to-date vaccinations (Rabies required). We ask that pets wait at least 48 hours after receiving a vaccination before their appointment to prevent discomfort at the injection site.
What if my dog is elderly or has health conditions?
-
Pre-existing Conditions: Please inform us at registration of any allergies, skin sensitivities, medical history, or prior grooming issues so we can tailor our handling.
-
Senior Dogs: We take extra care and patience with older dogs. However, grooming can cause physical or emotional stress in seniors; services performed on elderly or frail pets are done at the owner's risk.
What happens if a dog shows aggressive behavior?
The safety of your pet and our staff is our top priority. If a pet becomes overly stressed or poses a safety risk, Collar & Comb reserves the right to stop or refuse service. In such cases, clients will be charged for the service completed up to that point.
